Introduction
Welcome students! Did you know you can use the internet to create a poem? We are going to do that today. Our topic? Bats!
Task
During this activity, you will:
- think about bats as your inspiration for writing
- Use your creative writing skills to write a poem on the internet about
bats
- write your poem on paper and illustrate it
- save your digital poem to your folder
Process
Let's get started!
1. Click on this website to use magnetic words to create a poem:
A few tips:
You can drag the words to put them where you want them
You can shift and click on a word, use the backspace button until the
letters are gone and type your own word if the word you want isn't there!
2. Once you have made your poem, get a piece of paper and write down
your poem.
3. Now, save your poem on the computer:
- click file, print
- when the box comes up, click PDF, save as PDF
- when title box comes up, type in BAT POEM
- click save, and make sure it's saving to desktop, not someone else's
folder!
- drag and drop the poem from the desktop into your folder.
