1. Read the book, Stone Soup.  You can find this book at the public library, or at a local bookstore if you want to buy it. There are many authors who have retold this folktale, including Ann McGovern, Marcia Brown and Jon J. Muth, so you shouldn't have trouble finding it! 

2. Make a large outline of a stone on your choice of paper. Inside that picture of a stone, draw smaller pictures of all the food items that were put into the soup in the story.

3.  On the back of your drawing, write the name of the author who wrote the version of Stone Soup that you read.  Next, retell what happened in the story. 

4.  Bring your finished project to class to earn a Roadrunner!
